What does a personal trainer do?

A personal trainer makes a training plan that fits your goal, level and schedule. During every session your trainer coaches you 1-on-1: they watch your technique, increase the load step by step and adjust based on your progress.

Many trainers also help you outside the gym, for example with nutrition, sleep and habits. That way you do not just work harder, but above all more purposefully towards your goal.

The difference with a regular gym

In a regular gym you usually train on your own, with at most an instructor walking around. With personal training you have a dedicated trainer who focuses only on you. Read more about personal training or a regular gym in The Hague.

Who is personal training for?

Personal training is not only for athletes. It suits anyone who wants to work purposefully towards a goal with coaching, for example if you:

  • Want to lose weight or get stronger
  • Are just starting out or have not exercised in a long time
  • Want to build up safely after an injury
  • Find it hard to stay motivated on your own
  • Have little time and want to train efficiently
